Artist OPULS (Pavlov Sergey Markovich)
Was born on May, 10th, 1962 under the Tiger and Taurus signs in Tashkent (Uzbekistan).
Till 1978 went to school at Turkestan military district.
In 1982 has finished P.P.Benkov’s Republican Art school. Degree work "Jurmala" is in the Museum at school.
In 1985 he was the participant of the All-USSR exhibition of degree works of the art schools in Moscow.
In 1982-1986 he served in the armed forces, Afghanistan
In 1986-1987 – Mountaineering camps in Pamir, Varzonsky gorge
From 1987 Opuls lives and works in Leningrad.
1988 – the co-author of the logotype of the factory "Statesign" (“Gosznak”), which is established on the pass-through of the factory.
1989 – a personal exhibition “Van Gogh's Memory”, a gallery "Ariadna", St.-Petersburg 1990 – a personal exhibition "Jazz", a city Jazz club, St.-Petersburg
1991-1997 – autumn and spring exhibitions of the city artists in Manege, St.-Petersburg
1992 – an exhibition “Young artists of Saint- Petersburg”, Leningrad department of the Soviet artist Union (now Saint-Petersburg artist union).
1992 – some pictures were bought by the Norwegian seafaring company, Oslo
1993-1995 – the Auctions “Great Russia” by the auction house "Druo", Paris
1994 – the Auctions of the Russian artists, Dusseldorf, Munich
1995 – a personal exhibition in “Russian gallery”, Hamburg
1995 – a personal exhibition in the Old Town hall, Temendorf
1996 – a personal exhibition in the Russian-German meeting centre, St.-Petersburg
1996 – some pictures were bought by the Norwegian consulate.
1997-1998 – work of penance in Valaam and Konevsky monasteries
1997 – some pictures were bought by the father Nazariy, the archimandrite of The Alexander Nevsky Monastery.
In 1998 he was accepted in the Union of the Artists of the Russian Federation (the St.-Petersburg branch).
1999 – a personal exhibition in the Russian-German house, Moscow
1999 – a personal exhibition in the gallery "M-master" from the Government of Moscow
1999 – a personal exhibition in the embassy of Uzbekistan, timed to Independence Day. Several pictures were bought by the ambassador of Uzbekistan in the Russian Federation.
2000 – the modern art bachelor's degree, Association “Art of the peoples of the world ”, Moscow
2000 – the picture “Returning from a fighting campaign” was bought by the A.I.Marinesko Museum of underwater forces of Russia, St.-Petersburg
2001 – having started to learn German language in the Russian-German centre met love which happily got married 7 years later.
2002 – the picture "Svyatogor" was bought by the Museum of Arctic and Antarctic, St.-Petersburg
2003 – 2005 – spring and Christmas Art fairs in the complex Lenexpo, St.-Petersburg
2004 – cooperation with The State Tretyakov Gallery and participation in the Internet project «ARTINDEX»
2004 – the picture “The Silk way to the third millennium” is used for illustration of a disk of traditional music of the group SHAMS (the producer “the Valley of Bartanga”), St.-Petersburg
2006 – the pictures “Cossack patrol” and Nikolay II portrait were bought by Krestovozdvizhensky Cossack church, St.-Petersburg
2008 – the picture “Arch of Bosta” was bought by Patriotic association of Afghanistan war veterans "Pandzhsher"
2002 - 2008 – some pictures were bought by the Konevsky monastery
2002 - 2008 – work of penance in the orthodox monasteries and parishes (Valaam, Konevets, the Tolsky monastery, Vologda, the Ferapontov monastery, Jurevets).
2009, April – The picture “Samarkand. Shah-and-zinda” won a first place in section "Landscape", a nomination “Realistic painting” at 5th Russian ARTWEEK, Moscow

2010 - Drei Bilder darunter «Der Winter auf dem Heumarktplatz», «Der Eisbrecher "Lenin" und der Polarbär» nahmen am Weihnachtsabend von Michael und Kira Hasse teil. Erstaufführung des Bildes «Das Ziel ist nah».
2011 - Zwei Bilder «Falkenjagd», «Runkelsteinschloß» wurden durch Art-Agentur „Kunst-Sfera“ an der Messe Art-Master, St-Petersburg ausgestellt.
2011 - Sergei Opuls ist – ART-Sponsor der ersten Moskauer Messe «Finanzen und Kredit» in Krokus-Expo. Es wurden 10 Bilder präsentiert.
2011 - Zwei Marine-Bilder «Reede im Februar. Tirpitz in Norwegen» und «U-Boot bei der Aufladung» nahmen am Internationalen ART-SALON ZDH 2011 teil mit Unterstützung der Vladimir-Merkulov-Galerie.
2011 - Zwei Bilder «Die Bergspitze Tir-Mir», «Ladoga und Konevets» nahmen an der Internationalen Ausstellung «InJan» im Staatlichen Zentralmuseum für moderne Geschichte Russlands, Moskau.
2011 - Das Bild «Der Wallach von Konevets hieß Radar» nahm an der 3. Hauptausstellung für Animalisten «Zookultura 2011» teil, Künstlerverband, St-Petersburg.
2011 - Das Bild «Neuer Frühling auf der Valaam» wurde als Grand-Prix im III. Unabhängigen Wettbewerb für Opernsänger der Geweinnerin 2011 im ZDH übergeben, Moskau.
2011 - Das Bild «Moskau. Wassilievsky Abstieg» wurde der Zeitungsredaktion «Hypothek und Kredit» für Harmonisierung der Büroräume übergeben.
2011 - Das Bild «Es wird empfangen» wurde am Konevsky-Kloster-Stand an der orthodoxen Messe «Osternfest» ausgestellt, Manege, St-Petersburg.
2011 - Die Erstpräsentation des Bildes «Stalin und Kirov in Karelien» fand an der Sammelausstellung «Konzil der Heiligen Ritter» im Kulturzentrum der Russichen Armee statt, Moskau.
Es wurden auch drei Bilder hinzugefügt, die vorher an der Finanzmesse ausgestellt wurden: «Die Insel im Ladoga-See», «Neuschwanstein-Schloß», «Valaamer Herbst». Die Ausstellung wurden unter dem Namen "Zu den Geistquellen. Von Hyperrealismus bis zur Ikone" fortgesetzt.
2011 – Opuls nahm an der 12. Repin-Freilichtmalerei-Session teil. Es fand feierliche Übergabe des Bildes «Die Quelle von Repin» ins Tschuguev-Kunst-Museum namens Repins statt.
